Homemade Edible Gifts (plus pumpkin granola recipe)

I have always been in aww with people who make homemade edible gifts. Unfortunately, I am not a crafty person, I try for my girls but to be honest its just not me. Now that Miss E is in kindergarten I am feeling the pressure to put in the extra effort. Plus, it’s a great opportunity to include the girls and teach them the meaning of giving. If you are like myself and don’t have the most creative side, you are in luck.  Thanks to Pinterest and Instramgram I have summarized a collection of easy  homemade edible gifts including a delicious pumpkin granola recipe.

This pumpkin granola is easy to make and delicious. Who doesn’t love homemade granola? Nothing better than a bowl of fresh crunchy oats, toasted nuts, and fresh spices. Granola takes about five minutes to make but everyone will think you slaved away for hours in the kitchen.  Place the granola in mason jars along with some fancy ribbon to add a festive touch.

Some fellow bloggers still impress me. These thoughtful edible gifts will make anyone happy on your holiday list. This Christmas decorating cookie kit from half baked harvest is perfect for teachers, friends, or girlfriends who are too busy to make their own cookies. What better way than creating a basket with everything you need. No running to the store because you ran out of butter. When it comes to edible gifts it doesn’t get much easier or impressive than chocolate bark.  Miss E and I made her teachers a chocolate cranberry marble bark. I found a peppermint bark from foodess , I tell you I am addicted to this fellow dietitian foodie’s instragram account. If you are looking for something a little more savoury how about some rosemary and smoked salt roasted almonds from love and olive oil or finishing salts, perfect for the foodie in your life.

Happy Holidays
