Crowd Pleasing Turkey Chili!

Crowd Pleasing Turkey Chili!

This crowd pleasing turkey chili is a family favorite. It’s Mr. D’s famous chili.  We usually serve it when we are expecting a big crowd. Let’s just say there are never any leftovers when this turkey chili is on the menu.    This crowd pleasing healthy chilli is satisfying, healthy, hearty, and easy to make. Packed with vegetables and fibre this crowd pleasing chilli makes a perfect meal on a cold winter day.

To increase our vegetable consumption he adds extra vegetables such as tomatoes,  mushrooms, peas, corn, and peppers. We keep our chili on the mild side for the girls but if you like a little heat,  go ahead and add some extra spice. If you want a vegetarian style chili I would substitute the ground turkey with quinoa.  I like the versatility of chilli, really you can’t go wrong. This crowd pleasing turkey chili is packed with tomatoes. Tomatoes are a great source of lycopene, a powerful antioxidant that functions to lower certain cancers such as prostate.

This chilli is easy to make, brown your meat, chop your vegetables and place everything in the slow cooker for 6 hours on low and your done. We make extra and stock our freezer full for those busy weeknight meals.
